Bintel was incorporated in 2019, but the history of our team and technology goes back to 2003 at the beginning of HFRA plans. For almost two decades, projects for government and enterprise customers have validated our processes and technologies. Our firetech was inspired by Army situational intelligence. We built a proprietary version for those with small budgets and big responsibilities in rural communities.

Our story

From AI research to wildfire resilience.

The history of our team and technology began in 2003 and the work of ai-one, a Swiss-based artificial intelligence company. Tom joined the ai-one team in 2009 working in language processing, modeling, and data science helped lay the foundation for the Bintel processes and technologies. A key breakthrough occurred working with geospatial tools exploring earth observation data.

Today, Bintel uses that foundation to build dynamic solutions and tools to solve unique problem sets, focused on wildfire resilience and community protection planning.
