Bintel Inc. was incorporated in 2019, but the history of our team and technology goes back to 2003 and the work of ai-one, a Swiss-based artificial intelligence company. Tom Marsh joined the ai-one team in 2009. Their work in language processing, modeling, and data science helped lay the foundation for the Bintel processes and technologies employed today. For almost two decades, projects for government and enterprise customers have validated these processes and technologies.
Today, Bintel uses that foundation to builds dynamic solutions and tools to solve unique problem sets. Thomas Marsh joined in 2017 leading Bintel’s technological evolution and innovation, and Devin Marsh joined in 2019 to drive government sector build-out, project management, and operations. Our team is growing and expanding, internally with new hires and externally through partnerships with high-capability subject matter experts and organizations.

Tom serves as CEO of Bintel since cofounding the company in 2019. and as COO of ai-one inc since 2009. Tom led the Topic Mapper project for NASA MSFC and consulted on the RS-25 Engine Cost Reduction team. He is an expert in AI text analytics, Tableau data visualizations and knowledge management solutions. Tom led the development strategy and deployment support for text analytics, knowledge management and intelligent agent systems. He has international experience in startup, turnaround, and growth situations in the medical device, marketing, and software industries for both public and private companies, primarily B2B selling to large Fortune 500 firms He served as VP Analytics for ISC International from 2018 to 2020. Prior to ai-one, Tom was CEO of a data management and marketing services business in SE Asia, and before that Viking Systems, a supplier of 3D vision systems for surgery, where he led the public company through several funding rounds and built the medical sales, marketing and clinical organization. Tom began his career with a tech startup followed by the acquisition of a software company providing oil terminal management systems for Mobil, Gulf and others. Tom attended Williams College majoring in Economics.
Thomas is a cofounder with expertise in software development, web development, and database architecture. Thomas has engaged in projects that involved building end to end applications involving data sourcing and cleanup, data enrichment using machine learning and analytics, and making the data usable for intelligence with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SQLite, and flat files for use in business intelligence applications. In regard to data sourcing, Thomas has extensive experience in collecting and scraping OSINT data, including profiles, websites, as well as public datasets including SEC filings, Oil and Gas data and NASA’s research repositories. Thomas normalizes these data sources to provide context to customer’s datasets that can exist as both structured and unstructured, coming in any format. Thomas is proficient in multiple languages and technologies including Python, Node.js, Elasticsearch, SQL, MongoDB, cloud services, and web services. Thomas is also an active volunteer firefighter for Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District.
Devin is cofounder responsible for Bintel's sales, marketing, program management, and operations. She is responsible for project planning, accounting and budgeting, organizing and motivating the project team, monitoring progress, managing and creating reports and presentations, and marketing and customer relations. Prior to Bintel, she worked in construction. Her project clients included the DOD, DOS, and GSA for the construction of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC) project on Fort Pickett VA where she focused on project management, quality control, and quality assurance.
