Bintel Inc. was incorporated in 2019, but the history of our team and technology goes back to 2003 and the work of ai-one, a Swiss-based artificial intelligence company. Tom Marsh joined the ai-one team in 2009. Their work in language processing, modeling, and data science helped lay the foundation for the Bintel processes and technologies employed today. For almost two decades, projects for government and enterprise customers have validated these processes and technologies.
Today, Bintel uses that foundation to builds dynamic solutions and tools to solve unique problem sets. Thomas Marsh joined in 2017 leading Bintel’s technological evolution and innovation, and Devin Marsh joined in 2019 to drive government sector build-out, project management, and operations. Our team is growing and expanding, internally with new hires and externally through partnerships with high-capability subject matter experts and organizations.

FAS specializes in wildfire hazard analysis and mitigation planning, and their emphasis is on WUI and WI communities. CWPP development and updates are the majority of FAS business. Their principals are all former or current wildland firefighters with experience on campaign wildfires (NWCG Type 1 and Type 2 Incidents). They are focused on wildfire hazard analysis and recommendation strategies designed to mitigate wildfire hazards to residents of the project area. The FAS team worked on CWPP development and wildland fire hazard projects under Anchor Point Group from 2003, completing hundreds of plans. In 2021, Anchor Point was acquired by Precisely, who discontinued the consulting services. Since then, the core team of experts have continued the business under Marc's leadership as Fire Adaptive Solutions, LLC. |

Tom has served as CEO of Bintel since cofounding the company in 2019. Before that he was COO of ai-one inc. where led the projects for NASA Marshall, SwissRe, Boeing and FedEx. He consulted on RS-25 Engine Cost Reduction for the SLS. He is an expert in AI, text analytics, data visualization and knowledge management solutions. He has international experience in startup, turnaround, and growth situations in the medical device, marketing, and software industries for both public and private companies, primarily B2B selling to large Fortune 500 firms. Prior to ai-one, Tom was CEO of a data management business in SE Asia, and public company Viking Systems, a supplier of 3D vision systems for surgery. Tom began his career with a tech startup in Chicago followed by the acquisition of a software company in San Diego serving Mobil, Gulf and others. Tom attended Williams College majoring in Economics.
As Chief Technology Officer, Thomas leads development of a cutting-edge mapping application that leverages the power of data and AI to provide users with an unparalleled level of detail, accuracy, and accessibility. His passion for using technology to solve real-world problems stems from years of experience building data and AI-driven web applications in the cloud, including innovative solutions for data provenance and data cleanup. He is a collaborative leader who thrives on building strong relationships with customers fostering a culture of innovation. He is passionate about empowering my team to push boundaries and develop solutions that transform the way we interact with our environment. Thomas’ skills and expertise include cloud computing, data analysis, AI and machine learning, web development, Geospatial data, location intelligence and mapping technology. He graduated from University of Colorado and served as a volunteer firefighter for five years.
Devin is cofounder and Chief Operating Officer responsible for Bintel's product marketing management, operations and customer success. Working closely with all teams, she helps bring cohesion to the product, marketing, and sales efforts. She thrives in an ever changing role and work environment, starting her career in civil engineering and construction then shifting over to the tech industry where she uses her people skills to work with people of all different backgrounds and experiences. Her passion lies in using technology to help improve the health and safety of communities that may have little or no experience using advanced tools. Devin holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
